? Support, invest in and develop an incredible team of talented and motivated engineers with clear expectations via practices such as 1:1s, goal setting, and continuous feedback

? Constantly refine and improve your team's internal and collaborative processes to ensure the most efficient delivery of high value work
? Work with the recruiting team and leverage your network to attract and recruit top engineering talent
? Create a high performing and positive work environment based on transparency, accountability, and trust
? Be accountable for collaboratively defining, communicating and executing a technical strategy that focuses your team efforts on the most impactful work which is in harmony with broader company goals
? Define, track and analyze KPIs that inform the success of your actions
? Closely collaborate with external stakeholders to gather requirements and to foresee future needs regarding data infrastructures, services, and capabilities
? Be able to challenge architectural designs and concepts
? Act as the technical product owner for a variety of different technical products owned by your teams. Create, maintain, communicate and bring roadmaps to life, aligning them with company strategy while also keeping an eye on current developments in technology.
? At least 2 years leading agile development teams
? At least 3 years of relevant experience as a backend engineer (Java, Python)
? Good understanding of big data processing systems like Hadoop, Hive, and Flink.
? Good understanding of software architecture patterns
? Experienced in and passionate about growing, coaching, mentoring and providing feedback to team members including having had difficult conversations
? Expert knowledge in defining, analyzing, and responding to OKRs
? No qualms about getting hands-on when necessary
? Experience in building, measuring and optimizing processes and organizational structures to support highly effective teams
? Exceptional English communication and interpersonal skills, including motivating teams of engineers
